Officials with Kubota Tractor Corp. (KTC) and Kubota Credit Corp. (KCC) recently announced the relocation of both companies’ headquarters to Grapevine, Tex.
According to Masato Yoshikawa, President and CEO of Kubota Tractor Corp., the relocation aligns with
- business objectives to strengthen Kubota’s brand in the U.S.
- enter new industry segments
- position the company for long term, sustainable growth in North America
The move puts Kubota’s leadership and professional staff closer to Kubota’s major markets and manufacturing, assembly, and distribution facilities in Georgia and Kansas. Officials say with the central location, Kubota can respond more quickly to changes in markets and the industry, and streamline its operations for both dealer and customer benefit. Construction on the Texas facility will begin this year and is scheduled to be completed by the first quarter of 2017.
Both KTC and KCC are U.S. subsidiaries of Kubota Corp. of Osaka, Japan. The move comes on the heels of recent expansions pursuing an aggressive growth strategy. The relocation affects about 180 employees and should happen within the next 18 months.
