Ariens Sno-Tek Snow Blower Recalled

The Ariens Sno-Tek Snow Blower
Joint has been recalled by Liquid Combustion Technology, Health Canada, and the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (US CPSC). This recall involves Ariens Sno-Tek Snow Blowers. The recalled snow blowers have model numbers 920402 and 920403. The model serial decal is located on a label attached to the outside of the gear box of the product behind the left wheel. The engine serial numbers included in the recall of these models range from 1065H04008325A through 1065H04012104A.

This product’s engine is missing a safety shield, posing a finger laceration hazard.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these snow blowers.

Consumers should immediately check to see if their snow blower’s engine is included in the recall and contact Liquid Combustion Technology to arrange installation of a free repair kit. Consumers may also view the release by the US CPSC on the Commission’s website.

Approximately 300 units of the recalled snow blowers were sold in Canada at Home Depot stores. In the United States, approximately 1,500 of the recalled snow blowers were distributed. Only products sold at Home Depot Canada prior to or on September 21, 2010 is affected by the recall. Products sold after September 21, 2010 would have had the issue corrected and are therefore not affected by the recall. Manufactured in the United States by
