Briggs & Stratton 1000 Series Engine

The new Briggs & Stratton 1000 Series engine has been specifically designed for compact riders, delivering 10′ lbs. of gross torque power in a lightweight package—less than 32 lbs—ensuring that riders powered by this engine will remain nimble, yet capable of cutting tall grass down to size.

The PowerPulse survey found that compact rider buyers have similar needs and interests as other buyers in the riding mower category.  Buyers in both categories selected durability,  easy starting and engine power among the top five most important features they were seeking in their new rider.

The 1000 Series will be available with an optional ReadyStart Electric Starting System that simplifies the starting process.  Users simply need to turn a key to start the engine, just like starting a car.  The 1000 Series also comes equipped with a number of durability and convenience features including:

•    Large, 1.2 quart fuel tank – provides longer run time between fill ups
•    Commercial-quality air cleaner – dual seals provide better protection from dirt and debris
•    Large, tube-outlet muffler – delivers quieter operations and exceptional tonal quality
•    High-mount oil fill – makes oil checks quick and easy
