The Equipment Dealers Association (EDA) recently announced the newly elected members of its 2016-17 board of directors, which will officially convene on October 1. New board members elected to 3-year terms include:
Canada—Andrew Snih is president of Huber Farm Equipment in Prince George, British Columbia, a position he has held since 2009 when he and his wife Jocelyn purchased the dealership. Principle lines include Kubota, Kuhn and Vermeer.
Great Lakes—Daniel Scheuers is dealer principal and service manager for Waupun Equipment Co., a two-store dealership with locations in Waupun and Watertown, WI. Waupun Equipment sells and services a variety of agricultural, construction and outdoor power equipment, including AGCO, New Holland, Bob Cat, Bush Hog, Grasshopper and Kuhn. Dan has been with Waupun for more than 35 years, including the past 16 years in an ownership position.
Gulf Coast—Mike Linton is vice president, secretary and treasurer of Heritage Agriculture of Arkansas, a five-store dealership with locations throughout the state. Heritage sells and services Case IH, Kubota and a variety of allied equipment, including Bigham Ag, Bush Hog, Great Plains, Land Pride and Unverferth.
“We’re fortunate to have this incoming group of industry leaders to help guide the association,” said Rick Lawhun, president & CEO of the EDA. “We look forward to the new perspectives and initiatives this group will provide as we continue to expand our programs and better serve our dealer members.”
EDA officials also thanked outgoing board members Jim Backus of Grand Prairie Kubota (Canada), Mark Laethem of Farm Depot Ltd. (Great Lakes) and Randy Anderson of AimTrac (Gulf Coast). “We appreciate their commitment to the association and the industry,” states Lawhun. “We look forward to opportunities for their continued involvement with EDA in some capacity in the future.”
