EETC Offering New 2-Stroke TextbookThe Equipment & Engine Training Council (EETC) now offers a “Two-Stroke Engines” textbook. This comprehensive textbook helps students learn the construction, operation, service, and repair of modern 2-stroke engines. It features numerous illustrations and photographs for dynamic visual instruction.

The EETC Two-Stroke textbook covers engines produced by a variety of leading 2-stroke engine manufacturers. The textbook features a special focus on handheld engine designs that meet the standards for the Clean Air Act. This book prepares students for the EETC Two-Stroke Engine Certification, which is widely recognized by prospective employers in the industry.

Author Harry Senn is the Associate Professor at Texas State Technical College and teaches in the Diesel Dept. He spent 25 years teaching students about the operation and service of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines in an EETC-accredited technical college.

Senn, the first educator to earn the Master Instructor certification from Briggs and Stratton, was one of the first four educators invited to Stihl for factory training. He continues to receive training from industry professionals through the EETC.
