Kioti Tractor, a division of Daedong-USA, Inc., kicked off its fourth annual breast cancer awareness campaign last month with a special raffle during key industry tradeshows. The winners, Jenny Black of Vonore, Tenn., and Charles Greer of Chugiak, Alaska, each won a Limited Edition Pink MECHRON 2200 Utility Vehicle during the National Farm Machinery Show and the World Ag Expo in February.
“My wife and I attend the World Ag Expo in Tulare every year and are very pleased to have won the Pink UTV. It has proven itself to be quite handy in transporting my wife and grandchildren around the farm,” said Greer, customer of S and W Feed & Supply, Inc., in Carson City, Nev. “We are happy to have had the opportunity to participate in this very worthwhile and charitable effort supporting breast cancer research. My youngest sister is a recent breast cancer survivor, so winning the unique Pink UTV to use in our farming operation is a special bonus.”
The raffle at the two tradeshows combined raised more than $25,000. All of the proceeds will be given to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, a leading national cancer center located in Chapel Hill, N.C. The donations are a continuation of a long-term relationship between the national tractor brand and the UNC Lineberger Center.
“I was in the process of buying a John Deere Gator, until my brother and his wife attended the Louisville farm show and saw the Kioti Breast Cancer Awareness display,” said Jenny Black, who is a customer of Homestead Lawn & Tractor Co. in Cleveland, Tenn. “Once they sent me a picture, I knew I couldn’t go back to green.”
The raffles at the February tradeshows mark the start of Kioti’s yearlong breast cancer awareness campaign. Starting in May, Kioti will travel throughout Canada with a third Limited Edition Pink MECHRON 2200 Utility Vehicle. With stops at dealerships and tradeshows, the tour will conclude on Oct. 5 during the 2014 CIBC Run for the Cure (www.runforthecure.com). Kioti also will use the tour to recruit members for Team Kioti, Kioti’s fundraising team for the Run for the Cure. A random participant from the Team Kioti fundraiser will win the third Limited Edition Pink MECHRON 2200 Utility Vehicle.
