To support those that care for the grounds of the National September 11 Memorial, Stihl is providing outdoor power equipment as well as ongoing operational and safety training to the maintenance and operations crews.
“We all felt the events of September 11 deeply,” Roger Phelps with Stihl, says. “Because of the positive power that green spaces have, and because caring for nature and America’s green spaces is at the heart of what we do, this donation was our way of paying our respects to those that lost their lives, and those who keep their memories alive in this sacred place. The donation of $20,000 worth of Stihl equipment includes trimmers, blowers, and pruning saws from Stihl’s battery Kombisystem, selected because of their low noise.
The 9/11 Memorial honors those killed September 11, 2001, as well as those killed in the World Trade Center bombing in 1993.
