Toro Acquires Lawn Solutions

The Toro Company announced the acquisition of Lawn Solutions Commercial Products, Inc.

Louisville, Kentucky-based Lawn Solutions makes

  • aerators for landscapers and companies that rent them out
  • seeders
  • power rakes
  • brush cutters

All of which are new categories for Bloomington-based Toro.

Toro will sell Lawn Solutions’ products to the golf, municipal, landscape, and rental markets in which it already competes. This will increase the company’s overall market strength, according to company spokesman Branden Happel.

“Turf renovation is a natural category for Toro having built our company around turf maintenance for almost 100 years,” Michael Drazan, vice president of Toro’s contractor business, said in a statement.

Lawn Solutions was founded in 2006 and employs about 10 people. As part of the acquisition, owner David Cook will continue to consult with Toro and provide product development and category expertise.
