Bissett Nursery Corporation, a longtime dealer for Wright Manufacturing commercial lawnmowers, celebrated its 50th anniversary with a daylong open house. Activities took place at the third generation company’s headquarters in Holtsville, New York.
Throughout the day, visitors enjoyed food, competitions, prizes and vendor displays. Wright had a display at the event and, at 2:00 PM, sponsored a dessert bar.
Wright’s Northeast Regional Sales and Marketing Manager, Judith Ross, presented Founder James Bissett with a plaque commemorating this milestone and thanked the dealership for its continued support of the Wright product line.
“We were really pleased to be a part of this great celebration with one of our major dealers,” Ross says. “Bissett has been a Wright dealer since 1999. That’s just two years after the company invented the stand-on mower – our popular Stander.”
Wright, headquartered in Frederick, Maryland, is an industry leader in the manufacturing and marketing of commercial lawnmowers. In 1997, the company invented the stand-on mower, which is safer, faster and more efficient than traditional zero turning radius mowers. Today, Wright manufactures a complete line of commercial lawnmowers and accessories.
